Darcy Burner
Darcy Burner is running for the second time for the House of Representatives in Washington’s 8th district against anti-abortion incumbent Dave Reichert (R). Her 2006 race was one of the closest in the country. The district consists of King and Pierce counties, which include the metropolitan areas outside Seattle and the suburbs closer inland.
Background:
Until leaving to run for Congress, Burner worked for Microsoft as a lead manager for an initiative to change the way software is made. Prior to working for Microsoft, Burner worked for several computer software companies. With two and sometimes three jobs she worked to put herself through Harvard, earning a degree in Computer Science and Economics.
